Died. In this city Saturday evening last, of quick consumption Miss Tammy Bowden, daughter of Christopher Bowden, in the 25th year of her age. Thus in the bloom of life is cut down a flower, the fragrance of which will long be sweet to the memory of all who knew her. The funeral on Monday was attended in body by the members of the I.O.G.T. of which order deceased had been a faithful member for nine years. Mineral Point Tribune, March 31, 1881
