Mr. E. S. Sprague, one of the most highly respected residents of this city, died very unexpectedly Tuesday night. Two deaths in the same house within three days, is a sad experience indeed. Mineral Point Tribune, Nov. 27, 1873 [the other death was his son-in-law Luther Overton]
